The Aqua Knee is a knee joint component intended for use within waterproof walking devices and can be used to walk and stand in wet areas. The upper and lower parts of the joint are made of aluminum alloy and connected with special axle technology. A small hydraulic unit is integrated into the joint to control the swing phase. It generates dynamic resistance to movement which optimizes the gait pattern by preventing excessive swing through during flexion and an excessively hard strike at the end of the extension phase.
